Wildwood Vacay ("we," "us") operates wildwoodvacay.com and rents a single family-owned vacation property in North Wildwood, New Jersey. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have — including for our automated email and text-message program.

Information we collect

When you send an inquiry or reservation request, we collect the details you provide: your name, email address, phone number (optional), and your message. If you become a tenant, we additionally collect the information needed to prepare your lease and manage your stay (mailing address, occupant details) and payment records. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your bank credentials or full account numbers. Sensitive personal details stored by our system are encrypted at rest.

How we use it

We use your information only to operate the rental: responding to inquiries, preparing leases, collecting payments, and sending you information about your stay. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.

SMS messages

If you affirmatively opt in, Wildwood Vacay may send automated transactional text messages regarding your reservation and stay. These messages may include reservation reminders, payment confirmations or payment issues, arrival instructions, door or property-access codes, notifications that the property is ready, check-out instructions, and post-stay thank-you messages. We do not use this SMS program to send marketing or promotional advertisements.

You may opt in by entering your mobile phone number on our reservation form and selecting the separate SMS-consent checkbox. The checkbox is optional and is unchecked by default. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of renting the property.

For a typical one-week stay, you may receive approximately five text messages: one reminder during the week before your stay and approximately four messages during or immediately surrounding your rental week. Additional payment-related messages may be sent if an issue requires your attention. Message frequency therefore varies by reservation activity.

Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan. Reply STOP to any text message to stop receiving text messages. Reply HELP for assistance, email info@wildwoodvacay.com, or ask us to disable text messaging for your reservation. Wireless carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not share, sell, rent, or otherwise provide your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in information, or messaging consent to third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes.

Service providers

We use a limited number of service providers to operate the rental platform, including our hosting provider, Stripe for payment processing, our email provider, and Twilio for text-message delivery. These providers receive only the information reasonably necessary to perform services on our behalf.

Mobile information may be provided to service providers solely for purposes such as transmitting and operating our transactional messaging program. Those service providers are not permitted to use mobile phone numbers or SMS consent information for their own marketing or promotional purposes.

Retention & your choices

We keep booking and payment records as needed for tax and legal purposes. You may ask us to correct your contact details, turn off texts, or delete information we're not required to keep by emailing info@wildwoodvacay.com.

Children

Our site and messaging program are intended for adults arranging a rental; we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
